Giving Back: Our Commitment to the community
At JM Group, we believe that giving back to our community is part of our very identity. Our restaurants are not only places of great food but also pillars of local support and solidarity.
Blue Point Grill Princeton
Oyster Bowl & Pink Pearl Night: A Tradition of Support
For over a decade, Blue Point Grill has been dedicated to supporting the fight against breast cancer. Initially, our signature event was the Oyster Bowl, a friendly yet competitive oyster-eating contest that drew local media attention and a wave of community support. In 2014 ???, we transitioned to the Pink Pearl Night, raising $10,000, and in 2025, we surpassed $12,000 for the YWCA of Princeton. This evolution shows not only our ongoing commitment but our ability to adapt and keep making a difference.
Kristine’s
From Share My Meals to Blue Bears Café: Inclusive Philanthropy
Kristine’s is not just a place for French cuisine; it’s also a cornerstone of community philanthropy in Princeton. Over the past two years, our “A Night in Paris” events have raised a total of $37,500 for Share My Meals, an organization combating food insecurity and waste. Recently, Kristine’s has partnered with Blue Bears Café, a nonprofit restaurant that provides meaningful employment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This partnership highlights our dedication to inclusion and community care.
Witherspoon Grill
Mercer Street Friends: Record-Breaking Fundraising for the Community
Witherspoon Grill has a longstanding tradition of supporting Mercer Street Friends, a local food bank. In December 2024, we achieved a record-breaking fundraiser, gathering over $25,000 to help those in need. Each year, we are proud to see the generosity of our patrons and staff translate into real impact for the community.
By highlighting these partnerships and events, we want to show that JM Group is more than just a group of restaurants; we’re a family deeply invested in the well-being of Princeton. We will continue to grow these efforts so that every meal served also helps build a better world.
Mercer Street Friends Food Bank
The Mercer Street Friends Food Bank channels 5.5 million pounds of food and groceries annually to a network of over 100 local food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, meal sites, schools, senior and disabled programs, and low-income housing sites. Our food distribution and hunger prevention programs reach over 60,000 people who face the pain and indignity of hunger.
Princeton YWCA’s Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC)
Have you or someone in your life been diagnosed with breast cancer? YWCA Princeton’s Breast Cancer Resource Center will help answer the tough questions, guide you through the difficult decisions, and provide support through mentoring, fitness & wellness activities, transportation, and so much more.
Share My Meals
Share My Meals is a non-profit organization run by volunteers that aims to fight food insecurity and food waste in the Princeton area. We work with local entities seeking to curb the environmental impact of food waste by providing their excess inventory to people in need. Our organization connects these two realities and creates a positive outcome for our community and our environment.
